gooseblack1987 says: "I don consider Tom Brady in the same category as Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw cuz both of them were undefeated in super bowls and either won the SB decisively and if they did win close it was because THEY brought them down to score not because of the KICKER"

So, Montana and Bradshaw brought their teams down to score but what was Tom Brady doing? Sitting on the side line while Adam V threw to the team? What the hell are you even trying to say? LOL.

Its funny every one talks about Tom Brady being a clutch qb. But yet in each super bowl he won it was BECAUSE OF HIS KICKER NOT him. Tom Brady plain and simple is a system qb. Look the year he was out for the season the team goes 10 and 5 without him meanwhile Peyton Manning is out for the season and the team goes 2 and 14 what does that tell you? Basically Tom Brady is a system qb any qb will excell in that system you put Tom Brady on any other team he wont half the success he had with the patriots. I will tell you rite now if Manning had the defenses Brady had when the kicker won the three superbowls Manning would have at least 5 Superbowls. Tom Brady and the patriots are probably the softest team in the NFL they would be amazing if the game was flag football but as soon as you start hittin them they become little kittens. I don consider Tom Brady in the same category as Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw cuz both of them were undefeated in super bowls and either won the SB decisively and if they did win close it was because THEY brought them down to score not because of the KICKER
----

This is always such a LAME argument from the haters!!

I guess we all missed the part in all the SB's when the kicker took the offense down the field and got himself into FG range.

Brady had nothing to do with it!

Hell in the second SB vs the Panthers there wasn't any D played by either team after the first 10 mn of the 1st qt.

Brady threw for over 350 yards and set a SB record for most completion.

And please give us some examples of how they are "soft".

It always amazes me when some jobber sits behind a computer and tells us how a HOF QB is just a "system QB "

Guess what, every QB plays in a "system"
Joe Montana played in the west coast "system"

Explain to all of us how all these former players and coaches are all wrong about him when they talk about TB but you have it all figured out.

When a former player (key word "player") like Steve Young talks about how good he is and how much he reminds him of Montana, I think he may know what he's talking about.

I hate pre season…waste of time and money

I understand where you are coming from. Yeah, pre-season is boring, It means nothing win loss wise, but I don't believe its a waste of time.
Pre-season gives those players that ordinarily wouldn't be looked at as much the shot to actually make an impact on an NFL team. Without pre-season, those undrafted players or walk-ons that have already made a name for themselves over the years would most likely be unknown. So yeah, It may be a bore, but it is as important as training camp is. It is something that the NFL will never rid of in full.

"Brady would have gotten sacked, knocked down or been running for his life the entire time he was in"

Like last year? The Patriots battered the Eagles 38-20 and that's when Babin was healthy.

I know how jealous all of you Patriots haters are but Belichick is a lot smarter than you he knows what's best for his team. Not to mention he's gotten the Patriots to as much Super Bowls in the past five years as the Eagles have in their entire history.

"That offensive line in New England is nowhere near the level it has been the past decade or so."

You probably don't know the Patriots very well but Mankins and Vollmer weren't playing against the Saints and they both are expected to be ready to play week one in Nashville.

And if Waters does come back ( I think he will but it's just a guess) then I think they're offensive line is actually in better shape then it was when it was Nick Kaczur Stephen Neal Russ Hochstein etc. I think Light was a tough loss but despite Solder's first preseason game I have a lot of faith in him.

Brady almost always sits out one game in the preseason. And when you consider the fact that they fly to Tampa mere hours after the game to have joint practices with the Bucs to get ready for their "dress rehearsal" game four nights from now I think this makes a ton of sense.

I can’t believe a Patriot fan is complaining about the schedule??? When the schedule makers always reserve the games in the Patriots favor. Like playing 5 out of the last 8 games after their bye,at home, down the playoff stretch and in the cold weather. Their schedule is always easy and convenient for them for a playoff run. Bobby paying out the big bucks!!!!!

I can't believe there are "football fans" who still don't under stand how the NFL scheduling works.!

Get a clue!

I tend to agree with those that have already stated the obvious. Brady was hit and was on the run a lot against the Saints in the Patriots first preseason game. That offensive line in New England is nowhere near the level it has been the past decade or so. Belichick is protecting his investment (Tom Brady) tonight against one of the best defensive lines in the NFL tonight. And if you're going to rest Brady, you might as well rest the other stars on offense and get ready for the non-existant pass rush from the Bucs Friday night.

What moron did the preseason schedule. Eagles play today and Friday, but they play the Browns on Friday who they play week 1 of the regular season so they can't show them anything or play the starters like usual week 3 procedure. And now I learned that the Patriots have to play 3 games in 10 days.

I think every coach should tell their stars to show up 10 days before the start of the seasons. There is no reason for them to be there before then. The amount of injuries so far in exhibition season have been absurd and pointless.
