The Bears start the season against Indy, Green Bay, and St. Louis. They won’t have to punt until October anyway.

Bears will be alright, he shouldn’t be nearly as important as previous years. They open against the colts so might not need him til week 2. Have a feeling the new and improved offense will get at least in field goal range all the time since gould is hitting 57 yards out.

If you have a good punter, it seems like you would not want him to play in the preaseason…the risk seems to greatly outweigh the reward.

I’ll punt for 500 bucks a week if they want. Punters are a non factor and any Joe Scmoe can do it well.

Where are all the ones with “the stupid punter” comments (in regards to the Giants punter) and “nobody cares about the punter”. As fan of a team with a horrible punting team for a long time, I can vouch that punters are quite important
