Andre Carter takes free agent tour to St. Louis

Andre Carter, Vince Wilfork AP

It’s now officially a tour for Andre Carter.

After working out for the Raiders yesterday, Carter is marketing himself to the Rams today, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The 33-year-old defensive end has 76.0 sacks in 11 seasons, 10.0 of them last year in 14 games with the Patriots.

He’s coming off a torn quadriceps but expected to be ready by the start of the regular season.

The question now is whether there are more stops on the tour, or if St. Louis is the destination.

    Come on Jeff Fisher!!!

Get him in the wide-9 and and let him get 12 sacks this year!!!

A much better fit. Carter may never impress again at this point in his career, but he can still be a solid contributor in a 4-3 scheme, and absolutely deserves a spot on someone’s 53.

I still think BB will find a spot on the roster for him if he can prove that he is fully healthy…He was great for the Patriots last year and he was a big loss when he went down against Denver…Let’s see how this plays out

I love Andre Carter. He’s one of BB’s best FA signings ever. To the point I will even wish him well if he goes and plays for a coach I hate like Fisher.

Cater would be a great fit for the Rams. Could spell Robert Quinn or line up at OLB-one of the Rams biggest weak spots

well it is pretty appearent that he did not want to play for the league mininum.
