What can you say? You can say Whiz wouldn’t recognize a top-tier NFL QB if he was camped out in his living room.

The Cards have paid Kolb $20 million to date, including a one million bonus for simply attending camp this year. And what have they gotten? Nothing at all, except a confused, happy-footed guy with a glass jaw.

Andy Reid knows when to get rid of failing QBs–think A.J. Feely, Donovan McNabb and Kolb. Plus he can take a guy like Nick Foles, who never looked better than average at U of A, and make him look like an NFL starter in two pre-season games!

And while the Cards have desperately needed to upgrade the O-line, as usual Whiz and Graveyard Graves think they’re the smartest guys in the room, and try to do so on the cheap with predictable results.

Meanwhile, they WASTE their top pick on another fleet receiver when they already can’t get the ball to Fitz or early Doucet.

How Whiz keeps his job is a miracle. His whole rep is based on when he had Warner at QB and Todd Haley calling plays. Since then he has been exposed as simply running a retirement village for over-the-hill Steelers.

I’ll have a record prediction for the Cards after Thursdays game. They can still be a wild card contender off the Defense and the Backfield alone*

*Barring the health of the running backs.

Kolb used to pull the trigger sometimes too soon in Philadelphia. He won the job over Mcnabb basically because he wasn’t afraid to get it into tight spaces.

Whatever happened to Mcnabb in philly, seems to have happened to kolb in AZ. To afraid to let go of the ball.

I’m sure the cardinals would consider that, IF they had a solid O-lineman…

Its looking more and more like someone may get fired for this. I’m a fan of Coach Whiz and what he has done for the organization, but, his blunders on the QB position since Warner left are serious offenses.

Totally agree. Time is growing short for Whiz to get things turned around. The move that still baffles me was dumping Leinart during the preseason when both backups at the time were playing terribly. That simply couldn’t have been football-related; Leinart either said something unforgivable or he was messing around with Whiz’s wife or daughter. I was never sold on Leinart, but that move basically gave an entire season away before it had even started. And now the fix for that blunder isn’t working out, either.

Much much worse, the Cards traded for him with a second round pick and a pretty good CB in Rodgers-Cromartie, and then that killer contract.

I wonder what entices a team to sign a player to a big deal before they’ve done anything for you. What’s the risk to not signing someone – you have to pay an extra million.

I like that. I mean really. He’s looking in the right places but that doesn’t mean that he sees it or that he sees what I see. That is an accurate observation. I don’t know if Kolb sees it either and he doesn’t have the benefit of a pass with Skelton so heavy on his heels. He’s got to get it soon, but I think the rush to get it is causing him trouble because he knows that if he doesn’t get it that he is going to lose his job.

In the end, it may benefit him to lose his job so that he can get the game to slow down for him. Let Skelton fail (he hopes) and then go in when he feels comfortable. If he gets the nod and then he plays bad he may not get a chance to start again with this team.
