The Eagles O-line is not the issue. Many of the sacks they give up are on Vick. He holds the ball too long and he never climbs the pocket. Any time he feels pressure he breaks the pocket too the outside which puts his tackles in a bind and often leads to sacks.

Vick is gone next year.

The weaponry? The Eagles arguably have the best WRs and running back (taken together) in the league. They have solid guys at TE as well. Blame Vick if you want but they certainly have the weapons to win.

Not to get off topic, but am I the only one that notice Nnamdi is soft, and he needs to be traded for Joe Haden. DRC will be the best corner we have this year Nnamdi is washed up.

Everybody wants to discount how well Foles played by remarking about the quality of the defense. Just remember those same backups wiped the floor with Vick.

Put Foles in there with the 1′s for the rest of the preseason to keep Vick off his back. Get Foles ready for the typical midseason start because of Vick being injured.

Foles did ply well, but it is important to remember that 12 or 14 Patriot starters did not even play. I do agree that he did show some promise.

Whether you pretend his contract was for $100 million, $80 million, or $32.5 million, the fact is that it was a ridiculous amount for a QB with career stats of a 56% completion rate, and only 1 year in his whole career in which he played all 16 games. I think the Eagles got exactly what they paid for–an exciting runner who is a below-average passer and who is always hurt.

There is absolutely zero chance that the Eagles pay Vick $16.5 million next year unless he has a much, much, better year this year than last.

3,303 yds + 18tds + 14ints does not equal = $16.5M.

Nothing against Foles…but he “lit it up” against the back up Pats secondary. Hell, the Pats starters werent that good last year.

Same thing happend with Flynn last year, he played well against a porous Pats secondary, and the again against Detroits secondary. Gets signed in Seattle, and may lose the job to Wilson anyhow.

At the end of the day though, Foles looks promising…he could have completely crapped his pants out there but didn’t…so good for him and the Eagles.

One other thing Philly will have to consider is that every offense that he has played in, the running game benefits.

Ask Warren Dunn and TJ Duckett how it worked out without Vick.

Vick is like Tebow… excellent football player, just NOT a successful QB.

Why wouldn’t the Eagles put him is a position of success, instead of just cutting him?

WR and line up out of backfield on some plays?

The Guy would wreak havoc.

I’ve always liked Vick, but if they don’t win this season, it very well could be his last. Nick Foles has looked very intriguing this pre-season and is probably the future at the position.

If its a make or break year for Vick then quarterbacks like Matt Ryan and Jay Cutler are way past the make or break seasons. They have a combined 11 years of no playoff wins.

If Philly lets Vick walk he won’t have to worry about another team lining up for his services.

Any other qb would get killed behind that offensive line in Philly.

Vick will never learn how to protect himself. The only guarantee you have with him is he will miss playing time every year due to injury.
