APStephen Holder of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Bucs’ initial fear is right guard Davin Joseph will miss the entire season after suffering a left knee injury in Friday night’s preseason game against New England.
Holder cites “early word from the locker room,” which suggested Joseph suffered a significant injury that will likely lead to his placement on year-ending injured reserve.
Per Holder, Joseph is scheduled for further testing.
Ted Larsen is next up on the depth chart at right guard. Larsen started 11 games as a rookie in 2010, but lost his starting job in 2011.

Effing brutal
Damn.
Yikes
In the end preseason results rarely correlate to regular season results, however injuries are the one thing that truly matters at this time of year.
It’s a shame for the Bucs. Joseph is an underrated top guard in this league, hopefully it’s not as serious as feared.
I hope we are still Youngry.
I wonder if the new training schedule is contributing to all the injuries to the players?
Word is that’s it’s a broken patella (kneecap), which is a bit better than a muscle or tendon tear.
The bad news is that the minimum recovery time for that is about 3 months. If it is a broken patella, there’s an outside chance he could return towards the end of the season, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Bucs shut him down for the season and give him the time to make sure he completely recovers from it.
Besides a QB the bucs need a right guard ,too..#BLACKOUTS4BUCSFAN
I hate to see injuries like this in preseason. Sorry Bucs fans.
Here is to the rest of preseason with no injuries. Looking forward to seeing my Panthers take on this new Bucs squad week one. Something tells me you guys are gonna be a lot better than last season.
