I hate to see injuries like this in preseason. Sorry Bucs fans.

Here is to the rest of preseason with no injuries. Looking forward to seeing my Panthers take on this new Bucs squad week one. Something tells me you guys are gonna be a lot better than last season.

Word is that’s it’s a broken patella (kneecap), which is a bit better than a muscle or tendon tear.

The bad news is that the minimum recovery time for that is about 3 months. If it is a broken patella, there’s an outside chance he could return towards the end of the season, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Bucs shut him down for the season and give him the time to make sure he completely recovers from it.

In the end preseason results rarely correlate to regular season results, however injuries are the one thing that truly matters at this time of year.

It’s a shame for the Bucs. Joseph is an underrated top guard in this league, hopefully it’s not as serious as feared.
