APOne of the things the Lions needed to do the most during the preseason, other than keep Matthew Stafford healthy, was find a cornerback to play opposite Chris Houston.
Now they’re looking for someone to play across from the guy replacing Houston. Houston left Saturday night’s game against the Raiders in the second quarter after a leg injury. He’s on the bench now with a big wrap on his left ankle and the Lions are calling his return questionable.
Rookie Bill Bentley, who started along with Houston on Saturday, has the same designation. Bentley left the game in the first quarter with a shoulder injury and his return could probably be called doubtful since he hasn’t played since leaving the game and halftime is just around the corner.
That leaves Jacob Lacey and Justin Miller at corner for the Lions and the Raiders got a big gainer when Darrius Heyward-Bey beat out Miller with one hand for a 41-yard reception. Miller did flash some of his old kick return skills, though. He took a kick back 79 yards to set up the Lions offense in good position after a Darren McFadden touchdown in the second quarter.

We want to see Suh play cornerback. The guy does everything else on the field!
He’d be especially effective in bump and run.
M.J.D. to Detroit…if it happens…”Good night NFL”….

He does everything, except play the run and play clean football. Haloti Ngata > A boy named Sue. You Lions fans are just as bad as 9er fans, can’t wait to see you knocked down a peg or two.
The Lions have cornerbacks?
The Lions don’t need MJD, they need run blocking.
This year draft should be cb, rb, o-line, cb, and rb in the best available sense
