No one opens up the playbook in pre-season, it would absolutely stupid to give away footage of plays with developed chemistry.

Denver was bringing it! after 17-0 Harbaugh took the opportunity to try a new play against a strong defense.

It took 1 play to score a TD… Onside or not, VD smoked the DB’s.

Immediately after, Harbaugh shut down the playbook.

Pretty much saying, “Yeah, we’ll be ok.”

The TD to VD, was just a tease folks.
Did you not see how smooth that play went? Efforless throw by A. Smith, timing and deliver was immaculate.

I love how most fair weather fans expect this team to “fall back to earth”.

You keep waiting.

Two years ago, the 49ers won all four preseason games, and I started to get excited since everyone was predicting that they’d take the NFC West. Then went 0-6 to start the season.

Last year, they got killed by the Saints in the preseason. They all-out blitzed because Shawn Payton expected a phone call or some such nonsense. And they got like 53 sacks. I was a little worried, then the 49ers went 13-3.

This year…I’m not really paying attention. 11-5 or better. Count on it.

Alex Smith isn’t starter material, yet he’s the starter. Kaepernick should be given a chance. Then again, I can’t stand Harbaugh or the Niners, so whatever.

I am not worried since it’s pre-season. The Broncos seemed to have the number of the O-Line which is going to make most teams look bad. But also there was no game planning for this game as with all pre-season games. The defense wasn’t playing Aldon Smith, NaVarro Bowman, or the nickle corner(Culliver) while also not game planning because they would rather knock off rust and bring it in week 1 of the regular season.

Tremaine Brock def lost his spot after today’s game. Dude looked dreadful and on the flip side I think Parrish Cox and Kyle Williams earned their spots on the 53 man roster today too.

I said it before and I’ll say it again. Alex Smith is horrible. Moss is covered by THREE guys and he still heaves it up there. Don’t bother looking for the other 4 guys that have to be open if THREE guys are covering Moss just close your eyes and hope for the best Alex!
I love the Niners, but a great defense and solid running game can only get you so far in today’s NFL. They need a QB.
The Dolphin’s seem to be content with losing this season, inquire about Matt Moore!

The 49ers will be fine. It’s the preseason and let’s not crown the Broncos defense, the last time they played a game that mattered the Patriots obliterated them.

a 9-7 record will still allow the 49ers to make it to the playoffs. 49ers offense doesn’t look to have any new wrinkles to the offense and the defense looks to have lost a step. I hope its just a preseason thing but … it will be extremely hard for a team to just flip the switch like that.

Vernon Davis is the only bright spot once again. Although Jacobs and James were out, let’s face it their first stinger at RB is Frank Gore and Gore was IN the game. I was really worried about the Niners shutting Peyton down, but he got over a hundred yards and two TD passes in the first quarter. Not sure what’s up with the Niners, but this isn’t what I expected to see.

Believe it or not they actually looked worse last preseason and still wound up 13-3 and losing in the NFC Championship game in OT.

Some teams want to win the preseason Super Bowl and get into the preseason Hall of Fame and some teams could care less about the preseason and it really bares no reflection on how they do the regular season.
