His attitude did him in. I saw a glimpse of him arguing with coach Carrol during the K.C. blowout. It looked like T.O. refused to go back into the game playing with the second stringers.

Someone needs to sign the man. He’s still a stud. Almost 1000 yards in his last full season and the preseason showed he has no issue getting open. The speed is still there. You sign him cheap and if he becomes a behavior problem you cut him loose. It’s a no loss situation.

He wasn’t cut due to his attitude, he was cut simply because his skills are not where they used to be and therer are 3 or 4 young guys right there with him and THEY WILL be happy to play scpecial teams and make it work for them. So simislar taltent with more versatitlity…frankly it was an easy call.

To be honest i think most hawk nation was routing fot T.O. but in the end Edwards is ten years younger and has been fantastic. just not enough room for both. i do think T.O. showed something and will get picked up. the hawks are more solid than people think at reciever because winslow and miller at T.E. are very good. all of our backs can catch and if wilson gets the start his threat to run opens up lanes so they should be fine.

I watch the ‘hawks closely and I have to say I was surprised at the separation he was able to generate. Unfortunately he had trouble catching the ball. If he could hold on to the ball I think it would have been a harder decision. For all you other fans that root for a team that is wide out challenged, you may just see TO on your squad after week one.

A lot of folks are unsure whether they’d like their team to sign TO.

If you’re a fan already trying to figure out who your team is playing in the conference championship, probably not.

But if you’re a fan with a team that is on the bubble for the playoffs or you’re fearing will be one-and-done, then you’re entertaining the thought that he might be worth the risk, as he might do so well as to make their team special…and, if he blows up in your face, you’ll console yourself with the idea that the team probably wouldn’t have done it anyway.

Owens isnt worth his minimum base salary, or the ‘Hawks woulda kept him.

I see no team taking a chance on a player like Owens. He is one of those players that overstayed his welcome in the league.

Now, Owens firmly believes he has enough talent that he can still act like “all-pro Owens”. Problem is, Terrell has lost a step or two, and isnt worth the compensation if you consider his attitude.

Owens was fun to watch sometimes. His highlght reels (“The Catch”), and his lowlite reels (“That’s my Quarterback, man”), will be on display for many years to come.

So, Terrell… Get your popcorn ready…… And sit on the couch Sunday afternoons and watch with the rest of us.

As a Seahawk fan who was trying to be cautiously optimistic in spite of my gut reaction of “WHY DID WE DO THIS!?!?!”….thank God.

Charly Martin may not have that speed and size, but at least he catches the ball when it’s thrown his way.
