Getty ImagesThe Browns previously cut to 80 players. They finished the slide to 75 on Monday.
They created six roster spots by waiving with the “injured” designation defensive lineman Marcus Benard, defensive lineman Auston English, and defensive back Antwuan Reed. The Browns also placed linebacker Chris Gocong and sixth-round rookie linebacker Emmanuel Acho on injured reserve.
As expected, the Browns converted defensive lineman Phil Taylor from the active/Physically Unable to Perform list to the reserve/PUP list. Taylor, a first-round pick in 2011, tore a pectoral muscle in the offseason.
The Browns filled one of those roster spots with defensive lineman Ernest Owusu, who was claimed off waivers from the Vikings.

These guys are so bad it hurts to watch them play. If the Browns aren’t picking top 5 next year it’ll be shocking.
at Raqaiw: They have been picking in the top 5 since 1999! Hasnt helped
They’d just waste it on another high pick that they don’t need.
No one’s even seen Cleveland with their top pick in uniform.
Wait until T-Rich gets back, and Weeden gets his feet under him. We’re going to win some games.
at Raqaiw- Shut the hell up and quit watching them play then, cuz nobody gives a rats #&@ what you think!
