Chargers part ways with Roscoe Parrish

The Chargers opted not to spend big money on receiver Vincent Jackson, replacing him with a smattering of cheaper veteran options.

The receiving corps includes a trio of kick returners — and one of them is now gone.

Veteran Roscoe Parrish has been released by the Chargers, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

The move leaves Eddie Royal, Micheal Spurlock, and cornerback Marcus Gilchrist as the three kick returners on the roster.

The Chargers currently have 10 receivers on the roster other than Parrish, who spent all seven of his NFL seasons with the Bills.

Did they cut our starting KR Richard Goodman? He had a very good year last year averaging 27.5 yds per return including a 105 yd return against Oakland.

I was hoping Roscoe would work out and become a good backup at the slot. Would’ve thought he could’ve stepped up when Vincent Brown got hurt but I guess not. Good luck to you Roscoe.

I too had hopes for Roscoe and wish him good luck. I only asked about Goodman because he was not mentioned in the article and I thought this site knew its pro football.

None of the writers care about the Chargers.
