Jags complete the cuts to 75

The Jaguars got a head start on the process of cutting the roster to 75 on Saturday, dropping among others veteran cornerback Ashton Youboty.

The Jags finished the process Monday morning via use of the reserve lists.

Four players have landed on injured reserve:  guard John Estes, guard Drew Nowak, guard/center Jason Spitz, and tight end Matt Veldman.  Also, fullback Brock Bolen was waived with the injured designation; if unclaimed he’ll be placed on injured reserve.

Also, defensive end John Chick and linebacker Clint Session were shifted from the active/PUP list to the reserve/PUP list.  They’ll be eligible to return after Week Six.

Holdout running back Maurice Jones-Drew doesn’t count against the current 75-man roster, because he’s on the reserve/did not report list.

Feel bad for Estes- groomed to take Brad Meester place at center, IR in first pre-season game. NFL is a tough, tough workplace.

Something tells me we are going interior offensive line next April for the draft.

MoJo won’t count against the 75 man roster. If you’re under 5’7″, you get in for free.
