i have no feelings for the browns but I’ve always felt bad for mccoy, getting injured in the final game in college, being drafted by the browns, and getting all of the blame. good luck mccoy.

McCoy sure has looked solid. The Browns were plauged by dropped passes last year but anyone who watched say McCoy floated his fair share behind receivers. He’s feeling healthier this year and has more zip on his passes.

The Browns would be absolutely foolish to trade this guy for anything less than a 2nd round pick. He has an affordable salary and has kept his mouth shut and worked his tail off.

Weeden makes throws with ease that Colt McCoy couldn’t ever dream of making. It’s just a fact. Weeden’s release, accuracy, and arm strength are superior to McCoy’s by leaps-and-bounds.

McCoy will be a serviceable back-up and I’m glad that the Browns appear to be keeping him for that role and that role only. Seneca had his chance after Delhomme blew it, and he didn’t capitalize. And his attitude sucks. Get him outta here.

At the very least, the bidding price for McCoy just went up. I’m sure there were a few teams hoping the Browns would cut him.

I’d keep McCoy and still start Weeden. QBs get hurt, and I’d rather see have McCoy standing by than Wallace in both the short term and the long term.

Mccoy should be the obvious pick for number 2. Lewis and wallace should be fighting for number 3.
Weeden is the only obvious starting QB on the team. His preseason stats don’t represent how well he has played. If you think Mccoy should be stater, then you sir are in idiot who knows nothing about football.

he has out played Weeds so far . maybe start Colt this season . let Weeds set until McCoy falters or gets hurt . he hasn’t finished a season yet . IMHO McCoy does well until the weather turns cold in NE Ohio . he doesn’t play as well when the winds whip off the lake . i dont care who starts just turn this thing around .

He’s a backup, nothing more.
In 10 years my QB will be 32…just TWO years older than what Weeden is right now haha. Nice drafting there Browns.
