The Steelers have beaten the deadline by more than six hours, parting ways with 15 players to comply with the mandatory reduction from 90 to 75.

The Steelers have released linebacker Ryan Baker, defensive tackle Mike Blanc, wide receiver Paul Cox, cornerback Andre Freeman, kicker Daniel Hrapmann, offensive lineman Kyle Jolly, long snapper Matt Katula, tight end Jamie McCoy, cornerback Walter McFadden, tight end Justin Peelle, safety Myron Rolle, wide receiver Juamorris Stewart, defensive tackle Kade Weston, and wide receiver Jimmy Young.

The Steelers also waived linebacker Mortty Ivy with the “injured” designation. If he clears waivers, he’ll revert to injured reserve.

The biggest name on the list is Myron Rolle (pictured), a former Rhodes Scholar and a sixth-round pick in 2010.
