The Browns most reliable hands (Ben Watson) has not played at all in the pre season so It’s almost safe to say they want Weeden to launch the ball all over the field as much as possible just to see if he’s skittish or not as well as test their young receivers hands (or in the case of Gordons play over Asomugha how physical they can be).

If he just turns his head its an easy pick. QBs can’t put the ball in that spot, yeah he caught it and it looked good but it wasn’t a good throw, they got lucky. Glad this move is looking to work. THough I would have preferred to have him as a 3rd rounder, there is no way to know if the Browns over-drafted him or not because of the style of the supplemental draft.

For any WR, the O-Line has to play much better for him to get open/go deep, but as far as he goes as a player I like it so far. I can’t wait.
