Getty ImagesAs the Jaguars try to acquire a higher profile in the NFL, offensive lineman Eben Britton says that his unit plans to get attention in a very direct and blunt way.
“We are going to be the nastiest, most violent offensive line in the NFL,” Britton said Wednesday at JaxChamber’s annual Jaguars luncheon, via the Jacksonville Business Journal. “I can promise you, the offensive line is going to be a hell of a lot of fun to watch this year.”
Very few fans derive pleasure from watching an offensive line. Instead, the offensive line allows the quarterback, the running backs, and the receivers do things that constitute fun.
But if the linemen have a mean streak and dominate defenders and knock guys on their butts, then the fun of watching a good offense will be even more fun.

What the hell is Eben Britton?
Lead By Example Britton And We Shall See
By nastiest, he means they are going to break foul smelling wind with a furious vengeance!!!
I’d be all-in, Ebon, if you could play a few games in a row. The line just shuffled again last week.
As a heavily invested owner im Jennings I say “YES PLEASE!”
um…yeah…ok
Yea and i am going to be the best husband that i can be.
Sounds like an intent to injure. Guess he’ll be hearing from the commish about his season-long suspension.
Oh, wait… that’s right, every team does it.

Watch out ….roger thought crimes godell may think its time to try to destroy another team for using non pattycake language.
I like nasty linemen that come off the ball to impose their will.
See you sept 9th! Lets see what you got!
Signed,
Jared Allen
Britton is the biggest, nastiest bust in that draft!..
Who?
Britton has been one of the best at his position when hes healthy
I wouldn’t say those things aloud. Gabbert could hear them and get scared; then, it’s back to throwing with his eyes closed and laying in the fetal position after every pass rush.
It is better to act, and then to speak rather than speak and hope your actions back up your words.
He’s just predicting the fans view from home.
It is nasty watching you get shoved down as you roll up on your guard’s knee. Seeing that knee buckle in such a violent way, WHEW!
Watch out NFL! lulz
When a player says stuff like this it ALWAYS ends up well doesn’t it?
As long as they aren’t taking cheap shots at the opposing D, then go ahead and be violent & nasty. I just hope the refs are watching their O-line to make sure that they aren’t trying to take away the livelihood of the opposing players by specifically trying to cause a debilitating injury. I suppose after the ‘Aints problems, that type of dirty play will be stressed heavily this season.

That makes for a very boring season ticket holder luncheon, which is where he made these remarks…
Jared Allen is a one trick pony that shrivels up when it counts. He’d be 4th on the NYG Depth chart at DE.
Best in the league? Not even best in Division (Peppers).
They will probably also block for the most runningbacks in the league too!
As a Jags fan – I hope he is right and I would love to see it.
However – this is the same guy who vowed to make every team pay who passed on him in the 1st round when he became a 2nd round pick – and since then has not been able to stay on the field.
Last year he hurt his back doing squats in the weight room.
I am definitely a Jags fan – but the line stunk it up last year and has not looked that good in pre-season – so let’s save the tough guy talk until we get a few quick wins and see the running game working well – okay Eben?
@ youarewrongandthisiswhy:
Yeah, because the Giants have 3 guys who put up more than 22 sacks a season. Maybe you meant Allen would be 4th on the depth chart if YOU were the coach. In which case I hope no one sees fit to let you near even a Pop Warner roster. Or lets you operate heavy machinery, for that matter.

I’m not even a Vkings fan, but what you posted is pure BS – J.A. is better than any one of the Giants linemen. Let’s see how they do rushing the QB without any significant pressure coming from the other 3 spots on the line.
Britton was at a glorified pep rally. What’s he supposed to say, “we’re really going to suck this year?”
I like the guy and I like his swagger. Now if he can just stay healthy.
