3) Seriously I was worried that he would be back home alonewith 3 weeks to get into trouble. Glad he can be in meeting and stuff. If everything falls into place good things could happen for the VIKES, but a lot of things have to fall into place.

Glad he gets to stay active in the facility. I really believe Simpson is going to do good things and open our offense up along with AD,Percy and the te’s,,,,the world is ignoring the Vikings. Ponder gets less coverage then unproven rookie qb’s, AD is being forgot due to injury,ect. ,,,,I think we going to surprise some people!!

I’m surprised he can go to team meetings. If you’re suspended, it seems like you wouldn’t be able to be around the team at all.

It’s about time the NFL realizes that simply sending a player who was suspended for behavioral or substance issues home to be on their own for several weeks isn’t a bright idea and only contributes to the problem. If you really care about these players and want to help them so they don’t become repeat offenders, then they just might benefit from having continued guidance and structure that the team can provide. Instead of sending them off on their own and expecting that miraculously they would change, let their coaches still work with them so they know they are still part of the team, allowing them to focus on football and eliminate potential distractions. It’s just stupid it took the NFL this long to figure it out.

Simpson, while having this one issue, by and large hasn’t had as many issues that players like Dez Bryant, Pacman Jones and others have had. So while I don’t agree that structure is “exactly what he needs”, it definitely will help him.

Oh you must not have heard of bounty gate, it’s this thing where Vilma chucked up tens of thousands of dollars to injure players for a cash reward.

Simpson got some hashish delievered to his old residence. Violaters of the leagues substance abuse policy can still work out with the team.

So I assume this rule is for (misdemeanor) substance violation cases and not the more serious violators (felonious) of the league such as Jonathon Vilma?
