One Seattle story being in the top 10 most commented one time equals a fact? You are the 13th largest media market in the country, and several teams in smaller media markets have larger fan bases than yours. Seattle fans by their own admission say they are geographically isolated and never get covered. This is no rip, just stating as you say, the facts. PFT is not going to post this story about a Seattle 1st round pick to drum up traffic to their website. The reason why the T.O. story is in the top 10 most commented on is because it is T.O., not because of Seattle.

Do me a favor, check the amount of consistent comments on articles about national fan bases or teams that have won in the past/present and then compare them to articles about Arizona, Seattle, Jacksonville, etc. See then who is stating the facts.

Ok normally I don’t respond but this time I have to. As a die hard Seahawks fan I personally can’t stand Carroll. But the guy knows what the hell he is doing. So you say he is the worst talent evaluator in the NFL?

If so, how do you explain picks like E. Thomas, K. Chancellor, Browner, Sherman, Moffitt (who was having a good rookie season until his injury. Or Carpenter who was just coming into his own before going now. Wait there’s more, how about Doug Baldwin, a guy no one gave a chance. Yet he put up impressive rookie numbers with 788 yards and 4 TDs. And this is with TJ as his QB.

Lastly, on Flynn, 1) They didn’t overpay Flynn 2) No one and I mean no one expected Wilson to come in and beat out 2 Veteran QB’s.

One of the Hawks major goals this offseason was to improve the pass rush. That doesn’t necessarly mean more sacks. They want the QB to get rattled, make bad decisions, throw the ball quicker than he wants to. With improved pressure, this means Seattle’s All Pro secondary just got better which translates to better field position, more turnovers and less time on the field.

He’s explosive off the line, and yet at least one (if not two) guys were already in a decent position and stance to block him, and the QB never seemed to roll to Irvin’s side when the pocket started collapsing. They obviously studied his tapes.

And it always seemed like Irvin wasn’t getting much help, either. Whomever was charged with stopping him never seemed to need to watch out for anybody else, and just concentrate on staying in Irvin’s path to the QB.

Coaches seldom show their cards concerning specific schemes during preseason games. The games are primarily to get feet wet, ready for full-speed games that count, and evaluate players who may or may not make the final 53.

So I have a feeling the defensive schemes we’ve seen so far are just the plain vanilla X-does-this while O-does-that plays, and the real schemes won’t be put into play until Week 1.

In other words, let’s wait and see.

What’s #8? “Report: T.O. is a complainer, has uphill battle to make the Seahawks”

So, yeah, only two of the top ten stories involving Seattle, one of 32 teams in the league.

Do people even bother to check facts before posting anymore?

So far it seems he’s on the field just to be on the field without being expected to do the things he’ll be expected to do on the field come games that count.

Keep in mind a big knock to irvin is that he’s a one-trick pony – he rushes the passer.

Carroll and Shnieder had no problem spending a 1st on a guy with basically one mission. And it’s not really a mission you’re going to be sending a guy on in the pre-season if you already feel like he’s got that part of his game covered.

All the greats today (Mathews, Von Miller, Aldon Smith, Orakapo, Ware, Suggs, Barwin, Hali etc.) had double digit sack numbers as rookies. What does it mean? If Irvin has it we will find out quickly.

At home these fans are a force which realy does help guys get off the ball. to early to give up on the guy.
