Getty ImagesThe NFL’s shortest player has been huge this preseason.
Trindon Holliday, the 5-foot-5 return man for the Texans, ran back a punt 76 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter of tonight’s preseason game against the Vikings, giving him his third touchdown return of the preseason.
Holliday’s numbers this preseason are ridiculous. Through the third quarter of the fourth preseason game, Holliday has returned nine kickoffs for 359 yards (a 39.9-yard average) and one touchdown, and has returned 10 punts for 211 yards (a 21.1-yard average) and two touchdowns.
Injuries have limited Holliday to just one regular-season appearance in two seasons since the Texans took him in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL draft, but Holliday has phenomenal speed: In addition to playing football at LSU, Holliday was a track star who won the SEC 100-meter title. A healthy Holliday is going to be a big-time player for the Texans’ special teams.

Look out, Hester!
Holiday and Demps use to tear it up in the SEC. Both won national titles in the 100m.
This kid is explosive
Kickers will have to kick it out of the end zone and punters will have to punt it out of bounds to stop him
Darren Sproles 2.0 if Coach Kubes is smart enough to keep him on the roster and create a package of plays for him. Ole Kubes has been trying to make him a wide receiver during training camp along with his return duties. C’mon Kubes.
He’s not better than Brandon Banks though.
that will help out my FF defense, the texans, i bet they dont miss jacoby jones anymore, lol
I guess kickoffs are pretty exciting when the outcome could be a 5’5 guy splatted on the field.
5ft 5″??? man hes a tiny little dude, players probably cant find him out there
Wow.. look how much shorter he is compared to the 49ers standing on the sideline. He plays with a big heart though and will add yet another playmaker to that Texans team.
Will get CRUSHED in regular game. He’ll be suing the NFL for building the field too close to his butt.
So eager for dalucks’s take on this…
Anyone else look at that picture and wonder what will happen if anyone of those guys in the background laid a squared up solid hit on him?
This sandblower is gonna blow it up!!! (sandblower: an individual who’s bottom is so low to the ground that when they break wind, it blows up sand). tee hee
GO SANDY!!!!
LSU.
He’s going to make my Houston D/ST a wise selection.
Of course he scores, dudes always running for his life!
