Keeping Malcolm Smith and Obomanu over Toomer and Codero Law makes no sense. They’re both better players than 4-5 guys who made the roster. Guess they’ll be proving that with other teams.

Charlie Martin had a great camp and pre-season. He does not have Butler’s speed, but I think that Martin brings more to the table.

Interesting cuts. Paul Fanaika may be the lost gem. Most interesting is the roster position numbers they kept.

Portis looked awful last night. Taua looked very good..guess he got injured walking off the field. My money is on “waived injured” means”we want him on the PS, but want you to believe he is hurt so you don’t sign him”. Butler never could live up to potential after his injury.

I imagine they’ll eventually find a 3rd QB but their FB, Michael Robinson is a former QB and will do in a pinch.

Portis and Lockette will be on the practice squad.. Lockette may be ultra fast but the dude has to learn the NFL game and it showed in the pre season. Seriously, don’t even mention the two catches last year.
