Redskins cuts continue to trickle in

You already know about Tim Hightower.

Mike Jones of the Washington Post is tracking down Redskins cuts of a lesser-profile variety than Hightower’s, and he’s come up with 16 based on sources and media reports. In addition to Hightower, Jones passes along the following cuts:

Cornerbacks David Jones, Brandyn Thompson, and Travon Bellamy, defensive linemen Doug Worthington, Marlon Favorite, and Delvon Johnson, linebackers Donnell Holt, Bryan Kehl, and Brian McNally, wide receiver Terrence Austin, offensive linemen Erik Cook, Willie Smith, Tom Compton, and Grant Garner, running back Tristan Davis, and quarterback Jonathan Crompton.

The Redskins have five more cuts to make before tonight’s 9 p.m. eastern time roster cuts deadline.

    The Skins cut Compton? And Kept Griffin? Crompton was the next Sammy Baugh.

    Bryan Kehl deserved to be on the team. can’t believe they are trying the Chris Wilson experiment again after it failed time and time again

    Kehl and Wilson play different positions. Kehl was competing with Lorenzo Alexander and Keenan Robinson in the middle.

    We need to trade for OT. Someone trash can be our treasure. And don’t rule out us resigning Hightower into the season after he has fully healed.
