Getty ImagesThe New York Jets got a head start on Friday by excecuting 19 of their needed 22 cuts early in the morning.
But they still have a few more to go.
According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, waiving running back Terrance Ganaway is one of the Jets’ final required moves. Mehta reports that the Jets want Ganaway back on their practice squad. So it sounds like they made this roster move begrudgingly.
Another one of the Jets’ last three moves was waiving/injured wide receiver Royce Pollard, who tore his shoulder labrum in Thursday night’s preseason loss.
They are awfully close to 53.

Genius move saying you want him on the PS. Now other teams in need of a rb will wonder why and pick him up. so much for “ground and pound” more like “ground and drowned”
Redskins should steal this bruiser. RG3′s back in college.
Man that sucks. I know he’s not spectacular, but I have a friend that knows him really well. Hope he gets another shot.
Release Joe McKnight, Jeremy Curley, and Vlad Ducasse from the team!!!
Then Gannoway could have come back!!!
Don’t worry, Jets cuts usually become stars somewhere else.
I agree with the McKnight cut over Ganaway, McKnight seems afraid to take a hit going into the line, he seems to decelerate, at least Ganaway has some heart.
