The Giants kick off their title defense on Wednesday night and it’s looking like they’ll have a more complete roster than they had during the preseason.

Left tackle Will Beatty and linebacker Michael Boley, each of whom missed the entire preseason with injuries, practiced on Saturday for the first time in a long time. Beatty has been bothered by a back injury, forcing the Giants to scramble a bit to fill out their starting offensive line this summer. His status for Wednesday is unclear, but we should get some idea about his chances of playing when the Giants issue their first official injury report of the summer on Sunday.

Boley has been out with a hamstring injury, but said Saturday’s practice was enough to convince him that he’ll be on the field against the Cowboys.

“Oh yeah, it’s pretty much up to the coaches,” Boley said, via Paul Schwartz of the New York Post. “Whatever they need me to do this week. It feels good. Even running toward the end of this past week, I felt pretty good then and I feel even better now.”

Rookie cornerback Jayron Hosley was also able to practice after missing a couple of weeks with turf toe. If he’s able to play, the Giants will have one more potential solution to the hole at cornerback opened up by injuries to Terrell Thomas and Prince Amukamara, who isn’t going to play in Week One because of a high ankle sprain.
