Try as you Dolt fans might to make yourselves believe it and feel better, Carson Palmer is not Kerry Collins, Aaron Brooks, Andrew Walter, Josh McCown, Daunte Culpepper, Bruce Gradkowski, JaMarcus Russell, or Jason Campbell. Palmer has a lot of juice left and is much better than that sorry group.

Based on what I’ve seen out of Rivers last year and this preseason, he’s the one that looks DONE.

As for the Chargers o-line…4 of the 5 that played last year in the finale against the Raiders will play on Monday. They were good for almost 500 yards of offense, 0 sacks of Rivers, and 38 points on the scoreboard.

I’ll say it one more time. The Dolts have one of the worst O-lines in the league, and that’s with Gaither. Now, they go into opening night with Mike Harris at LT, Tyronne Green at LG, maybe Nick Hardwick at C, Louis Vasquez at RG, and Jeremy Clary at RT. WOW. Hardwick is a proven good player, but he’s been injured and how much does he really have left? The rest of the line is made up of sub par back ups (Harris & Green), a guy that should be a back up (Clary), and an underachiever since he came into the league (Vasquez).

On top of this the Dolts will be going against agruably the best D-line in the league. The game will be won in the trenches (as it usually is), and Oakland is going to physically whip the Dolts at the line (especially on D). I expect the Raider D to get medieval on Rivers and his porous O-line. Raiders 17 – Dolts 3.
