APFaced with a glut of injuries at the position, the Ravens are expected to sign former Patriots safety James Ihedigbo, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.
Ihedigbo visited the Ravens Saturday and isn’t expected to leave without a deal. He was part of the Pats final cuts, and could contribute immediately.
Ihedigbo started 12 games last season for the Patriots. He’s also played for the Jets.
The Ravens lost Emanuel Cook to a broken leg and placed him on IR, and veteran backup Sean Considine is dealing with concussion symptoms, leaving rookie Christian Thompson as the only healthy backup to starters Ed Reed and Bernard Pollard.

On the bright side ….
Probably gets cut after they play the Pats game.
I’m happy for Diggy, he’s a good dude. I’ll be even happier if it means that Bernard Pollard is out of a job for good though.
Boy this team is going downhill fast!!
^^^ Yea cus he’ll replace Pollard… Dummy
I think he wants to play for REX again
Rex will bring him in for a tryout this week.
Not a bad guy to have as a backup at all. Good tackler, and plays his butt off. Good luck Inhedigbo.
Question is: of the 53-man roster, whom will get cut to make room for Ihedigbo?
?
Just more bad news for us! Now we have to sign other teams rejects since we dont have enough good players. I am officially revising my prediction to 7-9. Time to be honest about this aging team with many question marks.
Someone has hacked Ravenators’ account!!!
This guy is a special teamer/situation guy at best. Honestly can’t believe he played as much as he did with the Patsies.
I like the fake Ravenater post (given the real moron spells it Ravenator) but good attempt bud!
Well be fine. Always are. Same worries when we had Webb and Cary Williams starting, or Cody, or McClain, and same results: top 5 D.
Wish Ihedigbo well. He was one tough player for the Pats, needing his shoulder popped back in place after every tackle.
Can’t imagine anyone playing in that kind of pain, but he’d just go back in the game. Wish he made the roster again in NE.
And how is Ihedigbo any better than Omar Brown other than experience? And keeping concussed Considine who couldn’t tackle anyone before that? Sometimes I just have to admit I’ll never understand…
