Just like the Patriots, the Bills should take Hoyer over Thigpen.

Maybe the running back in question has a minimum amount of money he’s willing to accept for getting slammed in to by 250-300lb defensive players on a regular basis. You know, there are some people in this world who make decisions that consider a few more factors than just money….

…Veterans’ salaries are fully guaranteed if they’re on the week 1 roster.

He gets paid the same amount of money whether he’s on the roster for 16 games or just game 1.

He signed a deal for 3 yrs 9 million dollars in the 2011 off season. He made 2.5 million dollars last year with the signing bonus. He was set to make 2 million including his bonus but now will make 1 million I guess; It’s still more than he’s worth but to cut him they would’ve had to give him a million dollars anyway. He makes 3.5 million next year. If they don’t cut him this year, they will cut him next year for only 500,000 unless he takes a cut of salary.

Especially in his case; no one would’ve offered him anything above the league minimum and at that even with injuries, who knows if any team would have him.
