NOT dissagreeing with you, but the NFL has been pushing to make itself as popular as possible and “Fantasy Football” is one of those avenues the league has taken. Maybe like in baseball, just prior to the start of games, the “starting lineups” are announced; giving the “Fantasy” players 5 minutes or so to make any player adjustments. I play “Fantasy football” mainly because it keeps more updated on players and teams in the league but I wouldn’t want to see the NFL institute anything just to benefit those fantasy leagues.

BTW – if you have Helu on your roster, Morris and Royster are still pretty much untaken in most leagues. LOL

only people who get mad at this are fantasy football players. Why else would this matter? An you gotta be a real idiot to get mad at a coach who screwed your fantasy football team over by not sticking with 1 running back.

Yeah, this all makes sense, but what about MY Fantasy Team. Got stuck with Helu… Fantasy rules say… Never take a Pats or Skins RB! This is why.

A good head coach would know all the weaknesses of a team before they play them. By watching film. Like 1 are their safety’s getting burned. 2 bad defensive line. Running backs dream. Or 3 is the team short passing field weak. There’s different ways to walk into a game situation and come out on top. Httrs!!!!!!! Go skins

You have different running styles. Such as north and south runners, side line runners who run to the side and then turn north and you have runners who are just smash mouth runners. For instance if the saints were getting beat by runners who were side line runners obviously we would use that runner for that specific game. Not a north south runner. And if the cowboys were getting beat north south. Then obviously we would use a north south runner say Roy for instance. So like I said they are going to keep it secret until game day. Or the day before.

What exactly do Royster and Helu need to do to earn a little respect around the league? Fly?

The fact is that no tailback on the Washington roster has ever rushed for less than 100 yards in a regular season game he has started. Helu went 108, 100, and 126 in his first three starts, while Royster put up 132 and 113 when Shanny gave him his shot as a starter. Facts are facts. Look it up.

Ya see the thing is he don’t want to let the cat out of the bad. You see all of our running backs have different style of running if he says who it is right now. That gives the saints ample time in figuring out how to stop that specific runner. It’s to our advantage for the defense of the saints not to know. That’s the reason hes not saying

Don’t think that’s going to happen. Shanny’s style is certainly goofy, but he clearly feels that switching his tailback every week gives him a competitive advantage.

I don’t get it, you don’t get it, but Mike is being paid more money to play mind games with his tailback depth chart over the next five months than you or I will make in a lifetime.

Similarly, Shanahan running backs really don’t have a lot to complain about. As a coach, the guy gets a lot of hate, but he has turned more late round running backs into 1,000 yard rushers, and subsequent millionaires, than any other coach in history.

Royster seems to have a pretty good grasp on Mike Shanahan’s reputation when it comes to following things like depth charts when it comes to divvying up playing time for running backs.
