A first round pick who can’t even get above the likes of Ted Ginn, Kyle Williams, Crabtree and the WR once known as Randy Moss. You figure just based on draft status he’d be higher.

But just for fun, name me a bigger reach this past decade. The worst I can think of was DHB (who in hindsight was the right pick), but DHB was at least a projected first round pick. The highest I saw Jenkins projected was round 3.

My concern with them this year is that they force the ball more downfield with Smith. Not sure the turnovers don’t go up as a result and I’m not convinced Smith will consistently make teams pay.

They are solid upfront and have the most physical front seven in football and were a great tackling team last year.

They will win the division (11-5ish).

1) Randy Moss. Has done NOTHING the last two years. Two years he destroyed all three teams he was on. Nobody even wanted him last year.

Look at all of his QB he’s played with, and Alex Smith looks mostly like Kerry Collins. But now Moss is seven years older and has most likely lost a step.

2) Michael Crabtree. Tons of upside, but not mature enough to dedicate himself to football and has underwhelmed EVERY season so far. Maybe Moss can take him under his wings (LOL).

3) Mario Manningham. He put up pretty good numbers as the third WR in NY, but if he can’t pass Crabtree with a stronger work ethic, I don’t see him repeating those numbers with Smith throwing to him.

4) Ted Ginn is a poor, poor poor man’s Devin Hester. He’s a return guy being used as a receiver, and he’s not a very good one.

5) Kyke Williams. Who? Seriously, who is this guy?

6) AJ Jenkins. Seriously, if he can’t play himself onto this roster he CAN’T be that good.

San Fran will be back to mediocrity after this year. I hate Green Bay but the Packers are gonna embarrass the Niners. Then week 2, the Lions will embarrass the Niners. The key word here is OVERRATED.

The last time he did anything significant against Green Bay, Moss was 27 years old.

I’m not sure why people think SF having a tough schedule = Sea having an easy schedule.

The 49ers had an easy schedule. – the niners played AFC north and NFC east last year and was 6-2. Those are considered the two toughest division in football. Plus we beat a playoff bound Lions team and a competitive 7-9 and 8-8 team in our division.

The niners have no QB. – 3100 yds, 17 Tds and only 5 ints. I’m good with that considering Aikman only threw for more than 17tds twice in his HOF career.

Niners reached for A.J. Jenkins. Most receivers struggle in their first couple years so why would we throw him out there when we don’t need to. And Ginn is listed higher because he’s the starting returner idiots.
