Wendling was picked to be one of defensive team captains this week. I'm not familiar with him, but I like that vote of confidence in the member of the secondary.

Week one is always crazy - anything can happen, but I think the Lions have the upper hand. Our defensive line gives us a big advantage, especially early in the season (when offenses are still working out the bugs).

I say let them sit against the Rams. We'll need them more vs. the 49ers in week #2, especially since we'll still be without LeShoure that week.

RamofSteel-after seeing 10 CBs go on IR last season, I don’t want to hear why other teams’ secondaries are in trouble. When it happens to the Rams, they suck regardless, other teams get a pass because they are injured

Apparently you have not read much about what they have said about the Lions Secondary
