It’s okay for the Ravens to squeeze McKinnie 2 days before the season starts? But it’s not okay for MJD to hold during training camp?

What’s REALLY sad is envying and hating a rival AFCN team soooooooo much that you keep erasing your cookies so you can come back over and over to skew the thumbs up/down votes the way you *want* them instead of actually letting the truth vote ya down.

Squeeze play huh? Check out stuartscottslefteye’s comment. Guy had the starting job, and gave it away to K.O. in training camp. All you GMs out there that think we “done him wrong”, go pick him up…and then ask the Chargers how they’re feeling about Jared Gaither right about now.

They provided motivation to a guy that, well, needs motivation. He can make his full original contract based on the number of games/snaps. They paid him a $500K workout bonus to show up to training camp in shape. He rolls in late (has his chiropractor call in for him) and totally out of shape. That’s all he has to do, that’s it – just show up in shape and he’s guaranteed a job that pays him 3+ million a year. The Ravens were probably so ticked off at that point that he probably was on the verge of being cut back then. Currently he’s a borderline starter at best. I don’t think a team cuts their startling left tackle a week before the season starts. Personally, I think he should be thanking the Ravens for being so patient and putting up with his antics for so long.

I guess I am surprised that he agreed to a 2.2 m contract when the Jets are paying the clown from St. Louis around 2.5 m.

At the same time, that is a lot of money to be betting at this late date. Keep in mind that it is guaranteed after Saturday. His salary is more in line with his value but I still think he is overpaid.

Mark Schlereth told the truth. He says an NFL contract isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. This seems to validate what he always claimed, it happened to him the same way… I’m sure McKinnie is thrilled he’s got the “protection” of the union backing him up and sticking up for his rights- how much are those dues again?
