The only reason Rex made the playoffs his first season is because the Colts pulled all their starters in the last game of the season.

Otherwise he’d be 8-8 that season as well.

Rex is bound to fail. He has all the skill and talent, etc…but he doesn’t have the personality of a head coach. He has a personality that should’ve never let him go beyond a DC. He can’t control himself, let alone a team of 53 men.

This is why other NFL fans laugh at the Jets and their fans. The reason the Jets are a joke for going 8-8 is because you have a coach who proclaims to be the best coach in the NFL and claims be going to the Super Bowl every single year. I don’t hear Rex Ryan claiming that his goal is to be as good or better than the Raiders, do you? Like you, Rex Ryan is a failure and a clown.

I understand he has taken the jets to a couple conference games and is a compitent nfl coach. But the arrogance and the need to be in the spotlight all the time with his guarenties and self proclaim greatness is to much and will be his and his teams undoing,not to mention the players starting to point fingers when they are 6-10 and miss the post season for the second straight year.GO JETS DOWN IN FLAMES!

I actually like Rex Ryan (and I am a Dolphin fan). He might run his mouth off sometimes but players love playing for him and he always has had a good defense. The way I look at it is that his weakness is on the offensive side of the ball, so he needs a good OC. Trust me, he does not have that with Sparano. In all the years Sparano was HC there always issues with the passing game, issues with blocking and most of all there were always issues when it came to the red zone.

Don’t you guys realize without Rex you and the media will have nothing to criticize or whine about? The team and coach went to championships 2 of the last 3 years, which no other team accomplished.
They haven’t played a single game yet, and you all have them in last place. You would think after they went 8-8 (a good year for the Raiders) that it was the worst team ever. Its hilarious!
The Jet D will be fierce this year and they will be a playoff team. Rex has lost the weight, but you can still crack your great foot jokes when they’re playing in late January. We thrive off your hate and jealousy!

No Rex, you are not a great head coach and neither was your father Buddy.

Both of you are defensive minded and couldnt care less about the offense. Buddy gave Cunningham free reign to do whatever he wanted and couldnt care less about it.

Rex cares about the defense and has Sanchez and Tebow ahead of McElroy on the depth chart who is obviously better than the #1 and #2 QBs.

Just because you say fact after something doesn’t make it true. Silly Jets fan. I can’t speak for other fans, but as a Redskins fan, I remember Shanahan’s career getting off to a much better start as a HC than Ryan. That’s a real fact.

I never thought Rex was funny at all until I read this. Even he doesn’t believe this is true. He saw his Daddy get fired after just three years if I remember correctly.
