You know what makes a good defensive backfield???? A good, dominant front seven…the Skins have that, that’s right it’s pressure from the front seven that makes QB’s rush passes and throw interceptions…I think before alot of you experts on here go thinking the Saints are going to blowout the Skins i’d think twice and look at the last few times they played the Skins held their own. A final point is not a one of you has factored in the coaching situation and the players the Saints will be without….just sayin.

When he played for the Pats it seemed like all he was interested in was making a hit that got on the highlight films.

Problem was half the time he took out and injured his own teamates. I was thrilled when the Pats cut him.

What is the point of this comment? We know he hasnt played a game yet. Of course a #1 pick should be a difference maker. How else will a team get better? Is it wrong to hope that your #1 pick changes your fortunes? Is this a criticism or stating the obvious?

As a Redskins fan I say this doesn’t matter. A chip from the side doesn’t make the gigantic hole any bigger. We just keep neglecting our secondary draft after draft and end up playing prevent all season.
Its almost like we are keeping Taylors spot open incase he rises up at some point.
Keep on throwing QB’s at the problem – we’ll never escape the mistakes of our past.

This is nothing new. Last year, Landry missed 9 games and Atogwe missed 5 or 6 games. Dejon Gomes is a nice young player that gained experience last year. He’s better than Madieu Williams anyway. I think they should play with 4 corners and Gomes in nickel situations. The problem for the Saints in this game will be stopping the Skins running game.

Our defensive front seven will wreck havoc to Brees and that running game anyways. Griffin and the offensive will have time consuming drives down the field vs a paper mache defense of New Orleans. Redskins win 37-21.
