So why exactly was Sean Payton suspended? Goodell claims it was for having a pay-to-injure-bounty-sytem in EVERY GAME FOR 3 SEASONS. But yet, he still hasn’t provided valid proof that it even happened IN JUST ONE GAME! Expect the judge to correct this injustice for Sean as well as the players. In this country, an abusive dictator is not allowed to restrict one’s freedom of speech as Goodell has done to the coaches. let the truth set them free!!! What are the fans of other teams so afraid of? That their hate wasn’t justified after all?

@biggestsaintsfanever: Judge Berrigan commented from the bench that she saw no difference between what the players were describing as a “pay for performance” program and the league’s/Goodell’s allegation of a bounty program.

In other words, Judge Berrigan agreed that what the Saints admitted to was a bounty program.

What she took issue with was not whether the allegations were true, but the punishments and the manner in which they were handed out.

It still doesn’t take away the pain of being robbed, but its a small vindication. Vikings fans were watching that game too, there are great YouTube videos of all the cheap shots they took at Favre. Its amazing thats the only way they could win and advance to their first Lobardi Trophy*.

Listen to YOURSELF. Saints fans this WHOLE time have been saying there was a program going on. We’ve all just been saying the punishment doesn’t fit the crime. I am merely addressing everyone’s claim that the punishments were ok because the Saints continued after being stopped. It seems to me they stopped as soon as confronted. If that is the case, shouldn’t they have some leniency in what is really just a salary cap violation? Goodell claimed the punishments were for continuing. I don’t think they continued.

NOT TRUE! All the players and fans who initially said there was NO program got proven wrong and then jumped on “It is ONLY pay for performance!” Well, it has also been proven that one of the ‘performances” was the ‘cart off’ hit. It is not as bad as intentionally trying to maim someone, but it is still giving a reward for causing an injury (even a temporary one). That, my friend, qualifies as a bounty.

Go back and look at Darren Sharpers interview when this all came out, he admitted to a pay for performance program but said that there was no payments for illegal hits and that was when it first came out. Ya’ll take them not saying nothing as saying they were guilty same as coaches. They would acuatally have to put money in the pot for an illegal hit. As for as the suspended players they did not say anything as to any program, they just denied things that came out about them for example Vilma said he never offered any money to injure someone but he never denied putting money in a pot just said not to injure.
Ya’ll will see when this is all over. You think that if Goodell really had proof he wouldn’t put an end to this, notice how he tries harder to prove he doesn’t have to show that they are guilty then proving that they are guilty. He should just prove it and get it over with if he has proof

It’s funny that anyone could say that someone “got what they deserved”, when there is no evidence or credible witnesses and the accused all denies everything NFLM portrayed — even falsifying claims of individual written statements, like Greg Williams statement (never admits to bounty, as many portray), or Hargrove lied (how do you make that leap?).

why is it that these professional sports people cant tell the truth after getting caught red handed. kids look up to sports people even coaches, and when they see that all they do is lie and even after getting caught continue to lie more and more, they are taught that is what you should do, every generation of professional sports people are getting worse and worse.

please change the dirrection, you got caught, please stop telling fibs, and just say your sorry and it wont happen again. your making it worse. cant you see that. no one beleives the lies anyways.

It sounds like Payton is regretting the whole apology thing. That bridge is impossible to go back over. If there wasn’t anything going on, why apologize? Why not fight the charges? Why didn’t the billionaire owner who still clearly loves Payton file a lawsuit?

He blames it on coaches not having a union, but that doesn’t hold up, either. The player’s union hasn’t done anything to help the suspended players. Payton could have taken a similar path as Vilma and fought the charges tooth and nail, but didn’t. That may well prove to be the most time effective action and the least damaging to his image, but he doesn’t get to claim he’s innocent after admitting he was guilty.

The only one that I saw get proved wrong so far is Goodell every piece of evidence that was important to Goodells case was proved to be wrong are completly false but he not a lier.

I agree but Goodell didn’t have proof and needed the new CBA written in his favor so that he could make sure he could get away with it, Because in the old CBA he would have had to actually show the evidence

What exactly has you so upset? If you’re thinking that the league is going to forgive you when you come back, think again.

There will be grudges for years against any team you coach, simply because you’re on that side of the field. Other coaches will most likely run the score up on you and will have no pity on whomever is under center, since you turned a blind eye to what your hired goons were allowed to do.

You brought shame to a team that needed a leader and the fans that are too blind to see it or at least own it.
You’re a disgrace to football, and I wish that you would have received the same suspension that Greg Williams.

Mention Sean, and the trolls come out the woods with there biased opinions. Face it guys, Sean is probably one of the greastest coaches to be involved in the game. He was on track to be the youngest all time winning coach, (this is based on his wins in the past six years, then adding to the future pace if it were to continue) lead one of the greatest offenses, and lead a team that broke a record for breaking records (<— way to many to try and type in a single comment). Yet you trolls continue to harp on the vicodins or favor in Goddells direction. Just saying, when I had vicodins after my surgery I coudn't talk straight much less imagine doing any of the stated above, nor have I ever had to deal with mordern day dictator who ''ASSUMES'' he made the right choice ''WITHOUT'' showing the proper evidence. Then again, I might ''ASSUME'' you'll respond with he's holding the ''EVIDENCE'' to protect someone or the franchise, right? DO YOUR JOB! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
