Dez Bryant makes his presence felt on the field for a change

We haven’t heard much from wide receiver Dez Bryant lately, since the Cowboys slapped a gag order on him.

But the Giants heard plenty, and reporters heard a little in the wake of last night’s win.

Bryant caught four passes for 85 yards, and talked for about five minutes about football only after the game.

This win was very big,” Bryant said, via Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com. “I felt like we prepared well during training camp and we just got to keep the flow going.”

They’re handling him because of the domestic violence arrest involving his mother from this summer.

But the Giants had no answer for him, as a depleted secondary couldn’t keep the ball out of his hands and stop noted playmaker Kevin Ogletree at the same time.

That gave them a confidence they lacked in past meetings against the Giants, including last year’s playoff-killing, soul-crushing loss in the finale.

“I don’t want to say expect [to win],” Bryant said. “I felt like we prepared well. That’s what we got to do throughout the rest of our games, and we feel like we got a good team and we all got each others back.”

If the Cowboys can keep Bryant on the field and focused, they have the potential to have an explosive offense. But those two things have been a greater challenge than the Giants have been.
