It happened a lot last year with Cruz, Manningham and sometimes Hakem N….. They are late …. or lazy about getting there hands up in time. Practice is one thing but during games Eli ….. at times …. has to throw earlier or harder (faster)… The receiver is responsible to *watch it .. into his hands*. The last receiver who almost always did this correctly was Steve Smith. Wish he was still here.

Yeah, but instead Cruz let easy passes bounce off his hands and Eli was inaccurate on what should have been easy completions. And that’s not even addressing that putrid defense, who failed to save Eli like they usually do. They lost 24-17 at home in front of a friendly crowd on national TV. It’s in the books. Cry some more.

All I see is Cowboys fans acting like they just won the division or the NFC Championship. There is no one depressed about losing in WEEK ONE. And this was about as good of a thing that could have happened for this team, because Tom won’t let them hear the end of all the sloppy play going forward. Had the Giants come back and won that game, after playing such horrible football most of the game, they wouldn’t be as easy to reach. And we have 10 days of Tom lighting into them to get ready for Tampa.

But depressed? FOH.

This is how Romo can play with a good team around him, especially a better defense than the last few years. I still find it sad that he takes almost all of the blame for their failures.

If I was playing behind a defense like the one from the past few years, I would be making a lot of mistakes too at the QB position. With a defense that can’t stop a team to save their lives, you start forcing throws that you normally wouldn’t because you feel like you always have to score to keep up.

Mark my words now (although I said it before the NY game), Romo will have his best year as a pro this season. This is the season where he finally has a pretty complete team around him. Hopefully people will finally realize that he was the least of the Cowboys problems over the past few years.

It certainly sucks to lose a game due to a few dropped passes doesn’t it? Although the season opener is nothing compared to the Super Bowl so Cruz’s drops will be forgotten by October.
