APThe Colts stunk last year for a lot more reasons than just the absence of Peyton Manning, and so it will take more than just the arrival of Andrew Luck to fix what’s broken in Indianapolis.
Specifically, the Colts are going to need a better defense. And by the looks of their opener in Chicago, they don’t seem to have one.
Jay Cutler and company have picked apart the Colts’ defense, jumping out to a 24-14 lead just before halftime. Cutler made a bad decision deep in the Bears’ own territory early in the game, throwing a pass right to Colts linebacker Jerrell Freeman, who returned the interception four yards for a touchdown that gave the Colts a 7-0 lead. But after that Cutler went to work, and the Bears have scored touchdowns at the end of offensive drives going 80, 95 and 72 yards.
Luck looks like a rookie in his debut, mixing good throws with bad ones. He has taken some hard hits from the Bears’ defensive front, so the Colts may also need to add the offensive line to the list of problems that still need fixing. But there’s little doubt that the Colts are going to struggle this season on defense.

Andrew Luck meet Da Bears!!
They’ve struggled on defense every game that Sanders didn’t play. Hes gone now too, So what’s new?
The Colts are for worse than The Bears are good. The Colts are Easley the NFLs worst team.
I know its only the colts, but I’m excited to see the bears move the ball effectively. Brandon Marshall did what he’s expected to do and so did Micheal Bush. “They are what we thought they are! You wanna crown em?!?”
Karma Isray, yeah boy
