QB Bill Kilmer quickly and unexpectedly led the offense in a few plays to the site where Tom Dempsey’s club foot blasted the ball through the uprights on the last play of the game to win the game. The ball sailed 63 yards in old, non-domed Tulane Stadium. What a great day for NFL football and for Saints fans,….much unlike the recent Redskin scalping.

He had that sort of half shoe as he had only a partial foot. I believe he had only a partial hand as well. It doesn’t seem as though it happened as long ago as it did, however it was many years ago. It was quite a story in it’s time due to the hardships Mr. D. dealt with as a kicker.
