Falcons will take aim at depleted Chiefs defense

It was going to be hard for the Chiefs to slow down the Falcons anyway.

But it will be much harder without three of their top defensive players.

Pass-rusher Tampa Hali is suspended today, but they made cornerback Brandon Flowers and free safety Kendrick Lewis inactive as well.

Flowers was listed as questionable with a foot injury this week, and was limited in practice. Lewis was doubtful with a shoulder problem.

That creates the opportunity for, if not expectation of big days for Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Roddy White.

The ONLY way the Chiefs can win today is by running the ball well and controlling the clock. Romeo will probably put extra DB’s on the field, and Eric Berry will have to make some big plays.

I’m not extremely confident that any of those things will happen, but we’ll see.

Let the excuses begin. Whats funny is they would be fine if they didn’t have the cheapest owner in sports and actually paid for some depth instead having to count on the likes of Andy studabaker.

I’m sure Chiefs fans feel better about their depleted defense when they realize they have a ton of unused cap room.

Nothing says cheap like the Kansas City Cheapskates.

Anything other than total annihilation by the Falcons will be a letdown. There’s no reason this game shouldn’t be over by halftime.

It’s still an outside road game.

    Matty Meltdown will show up.

Yeah, they should spend to the cap on garbage like Palmer, Wimbley, Kelly, etc like the Raiders have done the past few years. That has obviously worked.
