Locker, Washington down on same play

Tennessee Titans' Locker fumbles the ball to New England Patriots during their NFL football game in Nashville Reuters

Titans coach Mike Munchak said quarterback Jake Locker will have the job until he’s injured.

And he’s injured.

Both Locker and receiver Nate Washington were hurt on the same play.  Washington was hit high by Pats linebacker Jerod Mayo (no flag) as the ball came out following what was ruled in real-time as a catch.  (The ruling of a reception was overturned via replay review.)

Then, Locker injured his left arm after tackling safety Patrick Chung, who recovered the fumble and made the return.

Washington left the field under his own power, and Locker is throwing the ball on the sidelines.

Though Mayo wasn’t flagged, it’ll be interesting to see if he’s fined.  Washington was defenseless, and Mayo delivered a forearm to the head.

Locker should be fined for almost getting his receiver killed. Clean hit BTW.

Sometimes I don’t know what Florio tries to do. Hit to the head? Sometimes I don’t know why you go this National Enquireresque route

Ref should have been fined for taking a clear cut fumble away from the Pats. That was legit. Washington caught the ball and came down with it. Reception and Fumble.

Who’s getting fined for intentionally kneeing Brady in the face?

I don’t think the Pats should start complaining about video evidence. At least not for the next thirty years or so.
