I have a suggestion. How about Tim Tebow becomes an All Time Wildcat QB for all NFL teams. He will be assigned to one game a week, and either team can use him as their wildcat qb. In exchange, we never have to hear the words "Tim Tebow" or "wildcat" again.

whatchutalkinabouthillis says:

Has this offense ever really been worth the time for anyone to learn? ONE team used it in ONE game to completely outsmart their opponents (Dolphins/Patriots) and it hasn’t ever really worked since. Everyone thinks they can recreate that magic again though.

-------------------------------------
not true

beginning that game, the 2008 Phins went the rest of the year and averaged 6.4 yards and a TD every 7 carries using it (that's worth learning it to say the least)... 2009 numbers were close to that, in 2010 it blew up completely... for two reasons:

the O line declined a bunch and was allowing penetration.... and the OC started using it to try and pull rabbits out of a hat... you just start using it whenever and it loses it's utility...

so the question today is: do the Bills or Jets have a top flight O line and RBs to do it? not really

There's both too much said here and too little.

Too much ismade of the Wildcat... but also too little is said about mobile QB setups. Tarvaris & Brad Smith are extremely mobile... whether you consider B Smith as a QB is another question.

In all cases what the Bills bring to the table is more "Slash" Kordell than Wildcat

The wildcat deal is a joke. It is a gimmick designed to get people to watch the games. Real Football Teams use traditional game plans that have, and always will be successsful. Loser teams that have been horrible for years use gimmicks to try and fill the stands, while caring less whether they win or lose.

I guess there is a reason why the Bills, dolphins and others never make gains. If that stuff worked, everyone would be doing it.

The bills don't use it as a base offense, try rely on it to gain small amounts of necisary yards , like 3rd and 3, ( in which case a 4 yrd run is considered a success) the bills will sprea out a d and once in a while ( a few snaps a game ) use it to gain a first down, and once a year they'll prob throw out of it. Let's stop hating and think please !
