Saints plagued by three-and-outs

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees (9) is sacked by Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall (23)during the first half of their NFL football game in New Orleans, Louisiana Reuters

As the New Orleans Saints try to erase a 13-point deficit against the Redskins (yes, the Redskins), they need more offense.

Much more offense.

As the game just went to break on FOX, the announcing crew mentioned an incredible stat.  The Saints have four three-and-out drives so far today.  Last year, for the entire season, the Saints had 23.

It feels like the timing is just a little bit off, which may ultimately have had something to do with the fact that Drew Brees wasn’t around for the offseason program.  Brees has completed 10 of 21 passes; Robert Griffin III has connected on 14 of 17.

Saints never had a defense. But now they have no defense to go with very undisciplined team.
Off season drama and suspensions = Rg3 decent game. Cant wait to see Rg3 go against a good to great defense.
Rg3 better stop taking so many hits, long year ahead with real defenses coming up, you dont want him to become another Michael Vick.

Very classy post, the Saints are a great team…Playoff team all this was is a bump in the road, however I’m very happy to see my Redskins go into a very hard place to place with a rookie QB in Robert Griffin shut all the haters and media that said he was overrated and that Shanahan would not adapt to his play style.

    HTTR!!

Politically incorrect to mention… but the turning point of the game was the phantom pass interference call on Harper on the 4-1.
