Colts sell out first home game of the regular season

It took a while, but it finally happened.

The Colts have sold out the first regular-season home game of the post-Peyton era.  The team announced the accomplishment on Monday.

The Colts declined to take advantage of the ability to reduce their minimum obligation from 100 percent of all non-premium seats to as low as 85 percent.  Though they may eventually have blackouts later in the year, the home opener against the Vikings will be televised locally.

Would have been dumb to take the 85% rule, as they were well above 95% when this silly media frenzy started. All games will sell-out

I’m glad the Colts fans will be able to see Adrian Peterson run up and down the field for about 150 yards.

The fans are simply clamoring to personally watch my mighty undefeated Vikings play (cough).

It’s not official or believable unless Irsay tweets it.

Those remaining tickets were purchased by Vikings fans who want to ride this winning streak…lol

They wouldn’t have this problem if they had drafted RG3….BROTHER!!!!

    Colts fans are slow learners.
For years they had the best quarterback of this generation, but only celebrated one Super Bowl win in 14 seasons…
Their need to celebrate quarterbacks, which explains the sellout, is odd. They should be more concerned about Irsay putting together a complete TEAM.

I try to tell these folks in the Sleepy City every day they underperformed with Peyton, two Bowl and only one victory in 11 years with one the best records in the league….

Vikings fans can learn something here. See how loyal the fans in Indianapolis are. They can sell out while you did not yesterday. I’m sure the Colts have much higher ticket prices than your pathetic team as well.

Fact: The Vikings home opener was sold out. Fact: Indy has a nicer new stadium and the Vikings have one on the way.

Hey, how’s that bid to get a Super Bowl in GB working out for your organization? Oh right, it’s not because no one wants to galavant and spend money in that cess pool of society.

pack13queens0 didnt that game sell out?

Vikings have had every game sold out since ’97.

Some members of that ‘fanbase’ are more obsessed with the Vikings then they’re ‘paper championship’ Phackers it is hilarious.

Enjoy being one and done again in the playoffs this year with no defense and clamoring to your fake 13 championships, of which only two have mattered in the last 40 years. None of which mattered before 1961.

Best part is, the finese Phacker offense would be better in the playoffs if they were in a Dome. ‘Cause that’s what they are, a Dome team style offense that can’t win in the cold! Hahaha! Go Phack Go!

No the game did not sell out. But the League decided they only needed a certain amount to be televised locally now. Let’s call this rule the Vikings rule. Even one of your own papers said the game failed to sell out. Guess everyone in Minnesota figures there is no hope for this team when they can’t sell out their opener.

    Dear “sir” [pack13queens0],
I’ve been a Vikings fan since birth and you are more hung up on the Vikings than I am. The whole ‘queens’ thing may get you batted eyelashes from the females in tube tops at the Sizzler, but otherwise it’s just sad.

Go wash your bowling shirt. If the Packers lose this week, you will certainly be crying on it and screaming for someone’s head.
