Sort of a good point, but as a black man with a background in marketing, the fact is that racism of any sort has no place in advertising today. That’s not to say that some programming and advertisements don’t target specific demographics. Just that in 2012, attacking a specific demographic is never an effective marketing strategy.

Point being, just like Skip Bayless, I don’t think Cowherd is a racist, I think he’s just an idiot.

Also, a dislike of Michael Vick is universally understandable, and assuming that an opinion of Vick: pro or con; is racially based is, in itself, prejudiced.

Also, no offense, but please don’t tell me you think you’re clever for coming up with “Colin Coward”.

However before you criticize the defense for allowing 25 points, or even 32, consider that New Orleans had 23 three-and-outs all of last year, and Washington forced six in this game alone. No one is saying that Washington should be the new Super Bowl favorite or even that this is an elite team. Just that maybe it isn’t as bad as everyone thought.

I for one am stoked to see another Peyton vs Brady type of rivalry in the making, and just like Brady… it looks like RG3 will get the early success. Enjoy it while it lasts ‘skins fans!

I’m pretty sure I agree, rivalries are great, but at the same time, I’m not totally sure what your point was here. It sounds like you’re trying to say the Redskins will win three Super Bowls and then lose two to the Colts, and somehow that’s a bad thing.

While that’s a bold prediction by any stretch of the imagination, I don’t think any Washington fan would be upset by the prospect of three Super Bowl rings in the near future, and having a quarterback playing at Brady’s level 12 years from now.

That’s all dumb redskins fans really want to hear. When they rant and rave and write asinine things in all capital letters, all they’re looking for is for people to say, “OK, I guess I was wrong, this team isn’t a joke. They aren’t, as ESPN predicted, going to win two games this season. Maybe they even have the makings of a team that will be pretty dang good in a couple years.”

I think you have the Skins offense confused with what the Broncos did last year with Tebow. The Skins don’t run a college offense. They have some things sprinkled in that play to Griffin’s strengths as an athlete, but its not a system that relies on gimmicks.

Griffin won’t have great games like he had yesterday every week, but he didnt catch the Saints by surprise because of trick plays. He made good reads, great decisions and some good throws. Things will definitely get more difficult for him, but lets not downplay how amazing a debut game he had.

Weird, given that I’ve seen games at FedEx field where opposing teams’ fan bases exhibit a greater presence than did Redskins fans in attendance. That one of your criteria for “best fan base in the world?”

Man, Redskins fan are annoying as crap. Its terrible that they can take people who thought Griffin would be a good QB (like myself) and completely turn them off. DC people are annoying as hell.

It was great to be finally back to NFL weekends. I enjoyed everything I saw, good or bad, and have just one general statement to make: “there’s still 15 more games to go”.

We have no evidence that Griffin is the real deal. We don’t know yet if he can sustain his performance for an entire NFL season. We don’t even know if he’ll end up being like Tony Romo in the playoffs – one and done.

I am a Redskin fan but this will be a long season and it will be full of doubt. When Griffin can play like this with half his offensive line banged up or replaced and have 2nd string wide receivers to throw to after the starters are out for the season, then we start attributing something to him.

The game against the Saints is one the Redskins should have won as the Saints are now decimated by their own foolish conduct in the past. Right now the Redskins will merely be among the 16 teams that won this week. The upcoming Ram game is a trap game – we’ve seen the Redskins win and come in and look awful against horrible teams. If the Redskins only win by 8 against the Rams, then we know the team is only a middle performer in the league and not rising to the top. If the Redskins launch hell and fury against the Rams and bury them, then we can at least feel good to be 2-0 without having to put an asterisk by the win “survived a one point win by intercepting the last pass of the game”.

I’m a life-long Cowboys fan and even that sounds silly to me….

1. It was the first game. Remember Ryan leaf started 2-0 where Peyton started 0-2. In fact he went 13-3 and threw more picks than tds.

2. The saints are not a good defensive team. They did rank 30th last season and let’s add 3. Right here. They are playing with an intern to the intern coach. They had no defense last year and lost the head coach for the year followed by losing the intern coach for 6 games.

So congradulations you beat a team that has no head coach and was a bad defense last season. A team that was incredibly distracted all off season with Brees contract, bountygate and lawsuits. Redskins are surly going to win the sb now. Come back when you beat a real team

What is lost in the shuffle is the Saints were playing without Vilma, a banged up secondary, and the first time any defensive coordinator has seen RGIII on the pro level, without a chance to game plan accordingly….

That being said, all props to RGIII…
