PFT Live: Week One recap and Redskins talk with Rich Tandler

Washington Redskins Griffin III drops back to pass as his team takes on the New Orleans Saints during NFL football game in New Orleans Reuters

The NFL returned with a full slate of games on Sunday and it was well worth the wait.

We had surprising outcomes, dazzling debuts and a little bit of everything else during the first Sunday of the 2012 season and we’ll cover it all on Monday’s edition of PFT Live. We’ll touch on all the biggest stories to come out of the day and talk about how much all of them mean as we look forward to the rest of the season. Mike Florio will be paying special attention to the work done by the replacement officials and the performances of Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III as they introduced (and re-introduced) us to their brand of football.

Griffin will get a little extra discussion when Rich Tandler of CSNWashington.com joins the program. The Redskins’ convincing beatdown of the Saints was one of the more surprising results of the day and it had a lot to do with Griffin making it two straight years with a jaw-dropping performance by a debuting rookie quarterback. We’ll hear the reaction from the home front and hear about what else the Redskins did right on their way to 1-0.

You can watch it all live at noon ET.

I don’t want to hear anymore of this “it was only 1 week” talk…. Griffin is gonna be a beast. Face it Dallas/Philly/NYG fans. You will be terrorized for years to come. Finally, we have talent at QB after a decade and a half of nubbins!!! Booyah!
