Raiders to extend contract of Marcel Reece before kickoff

The Raiders are going to do some business before kickoff against the Chargers tonight, as they’re expected to sign fullback Marcel Reece to a contract extension, according to Jason LaCanfora of CBSSports.com.

Reece stayed away from some offseason work while he waited for a new deal, but as an exclusive rights free agent, he had no leverage. He signed his $540,000 tender in June, and was set to be a restricted free agent next year.

A versatile player with roles as a runner and receiver, Reece caught 27 passes for 301 yards and was a Pro Bowl alternate last year. A college wideout, the 6-foot-2, 250-pounder is a tough matchup because of his speed and size.

On a side note the Raiturds look to extend their streak of nine consecutive seasons without a winning record to ten straight seasons w.o a winning season.
    Just lose, baby!

Reece without question is the x factor for the raiders. can yoi imagine the look on the linebackers and safety’s when mcfadden and him go in motion , and leave an empty backfield……

Lets go Raiders…make it 4-1 against the chargers the past 5 games

He is hands down the most versatile fullback in the league. Kuhn just plows his fat body in on goal line plays.

    The Raiders are irrelevant.”

Relevant enough for you to take the time to read and comment.

The future has arrived. First Michael Huff then Tyvon Branch and now Marcel Reece. Reggie is making sure he keeps the good ones. The Raiders are making all the right moves.

Haha exactly. Sounds like all the Chiefs fans who thought they were gonna be relevant this year, are out in full force trying to hate on the Raiders! Look in the mirror before calling anyone irrelevant, remember you haven’t won a meaningful game in 19 years and haven’t seen a super bowl since the Vietnam War…impressive. The only one impressed with your franchise is the Royals, and that is coming from a Royals fan
