Ty Warren had some good years with the Pats. There was one year…his second or third…where he was an absolute beast. He was better than Seymour that year. However, as time went on his play diminished. I think he lost his fire. I also think BB saw that he lost his fire, saw that football was no longer as important to him and released him. It’s my belief BB was correct. It’s also my belief that the non-stop injuries are the product of not being in top physical condition. BB has been around the game for a very long time it it’s not often he releases a player and they go on to be highly productive for another team.

Loved Ty Warren with the Patriots, played hard and was a class act. I’m sorry to see all the bad luck he has had. Get well.

Ty Warren was vastly underrated in his day, he was a key linchpin on those great Patriots defenses. Very under-appreciated the five technique defensive end isn’t very glamorous but it’s the guts of a great 3-4 defense. Belichick did limit his snaps though, it seems at this point Ty should just call it a career.

He’s a smart guy and he can do a lot more than football, he went back to get his degree from Texas A&M so he has that to fall back on.

Pittsburgh couldn’t exploit the poor Denver run D last night with a banged up O-line and no Mendenhall. Other teams will and this just makes it worse. Looks like the Donks aren’t going to the play offs this year, Manning or not.

Poor run defense? The Steelers were constantly in 3rd and longs after being stuffed on consecutive run plays (many times for a loss). The concern is much more with the lack of consistent pressure on the 3rd and longs. No linebacker can cover a tight end for 7 seconds and thats why Heath Miller killed them over the middle.

Warren was looking to shore up the middle but this is the end for the big guy.

Next man up.

The Pats really limited his snaps though, because of THAT very reason. It is a shame. Talented guy just cant stay on the field.

Damn that sucks. You have to feel for the guy. He was excited about the season. Took a pay cut to stay, and then the first half re-tears his triceps. That and Brett Grimes, just bad news for those teams and the players.
