Redskins sign replacement for tough-guy long snapper Sundberg

Danny Smith, Graham Gano, Neil Rackers, Nick Sundberg, Sav Rocca AP

As tough as Nick Sundberg is, he can’t keep snapping with one arm.

According to Mike Garafolo of USA Today, the Redskins are signing longtime Colts long snapper Justin Snow to replace Sundberg, who broke his arm Sunday but kept playing.

It’s unclear how long Sundberg will be out, or whether they’ll put him on injured reserve.

He suffered the injury in the first half but played on, giving him street cred as the baddest long snapper in the league (at least until one of the other midgets grows taller).

According to the Washington Post, the Redskins also worked out long snappers Lonie Paxton, Joe Zelenka and Matt Katula.

As we saw last night with the Raiders a bad long snapper can kill a game for a team this is a smart choice

The Raiders need a long snapper.

After watching the Raiders play, I understand the importance of this position.

Dang It! Seeing that I was the back-up long snapper in High School I was hoping to get a call…Oh well.

Why would they even need a long snapper? If you listen to voiceofreasonsays, RGIII is so perfect they should never have to punt the ball.

The best long snapper belongs to Dallas , not a bad snap in his career yet, to bad Trey Junkins not available

2 LS in one week? Must be some kind of record. The Raiders certainly saw the importance of the position last night.

    @peytonsneck18

Are you trying to get a rise out of Skins fans? Bro..you’re the Colts. The NFC Beast has things to do. Run along…

@peytonsneck18 – hey are the Colts games blacked out this year in Indy? Did you all revert back to Cowboy fans yet?

  13. smackmastergeneral says: Sep 11, 2012 5:45 PM

Peytonsneck is no Colts fan. He’s a Dallas fan who comes on to every redskins story to taunt the fans.
    It’s pathetic.

You just picked 1 of the best long snappers in the game and a great person as well. I am certain the Colts will realize their mistake in cutting him very soon.

Colts fans are pissed because they could have had RG3. Good Luck with that. Pun intended. They are friggin terrible.

  16. skinsfanwill says: Sep 12, 2012 2:33 AM

    5 reasons why Indy sucks.

    1. They passed on RG3
    2. The money they were willing to give Peyton could have been spent in free agency.
    3. They decided to give a man $100 after 3 neck surgeries and wondered why he wasn’t available to play all last season.
    4. They moved two of the best pass rushers the league has ever seen and asked them to drop back in coverage…..LMAO…..Dumbasses
    5. They could have traded down in the draft and got another QB just as good and some more picks. But they will continue to Suck For Luck.

Hey numnuts take a look how many people agree with you. Now see how many disagree with you. Now pay attention as this is where you might learn something. If you get no response either way it is because no one thinks any of the ignorant comments you made are worth responding to. Now run along and next time you post something try to make it even the least bit interesting.
You are exactly the type of ignorant fan I have been writing about. When the only thing some one says about you is that you sound like voiceofreasonsays. Trust me that is not a compliment. Although they do say misery loves company. So there may be chance for you 2 wacky kids to get together and ride on into the sunset together. Too funny.
