31. Dolphins (0-1; No. 31): It’s way too early to think the Dolphins won’t win a game this season. But they definitely don’t look like a team that can win a game this month.

So.... what was that you said?

We played our first week against a very good Texans team and you counted the Dolphins out of year.

Keep Talking....

"If Brandon Weeden wasn’t overwhelmed in putting up a 5.1 passer rating, we’d hate to see how bad his numbers would have been if he was."

That's a good one. The flag incident may have left him "uneasy."

Still, the Browns should be ahead of Miami at least, no? I mean they hung in there against the team you list at #8 until the very end.

So let's see...The Lions stay at #12 despite almost losing to an inferior Rams team, while the Bears dominate an inferior Colts team and drop 3 spots to #14...So, if we had only won by a FG instead of by 20, we'd deserve to still be at #11, right? There is indeed a madness to your method...:P

Anyone else tired of hearing about the Patriots and how good they are suppose to be every year? And they are pretty good but to say their the best team year in and year out is getting old.
———————-
You poor little thing. Waaagh! We’re sorry that the Patriots have been the most successful team this decade with arguably the best coach and QB in history. And they got to the SB last year EVEN with the 31st ranked D, and almost won it!! And their D has improved HUGE!! And their O has as well!! So their expectations are OF COURSE right off the charts!! Maybe you should just look away?? Or pick a different sport? Or a different team? Or learn to appreciate greatness- no matter where it resides?? Sorry you got nothing in VA. Sorry you root for the worst team in the NFL. Need a tissue?

----------------------------------------------

How exactly can you claim the Patriots are the most successful team this decade when we're not even 2 full years into it (2011-2012)? If by success you refer to Super Bowl championships, that would limit the conversation to the Packers and Giants. If you mean regular season wins, then that would only mean the Packers since they still have more wins than the Patriots since the beginning of last season.

I don't deny that the Patriots have gotten a lot younger on both sides of the ball, and I certainly don't deny their history since 2001. But let's call a spade a spade here: They are good enough to be competitive year in and year out, but they are not the dominant team of 2003/2004.

That’s precious. A patsies fan calling another teams QB a crybaby. No QB bitches and moans to officials like Brady does.

Ya jda13 I would figure someone like yourself wouldn't understand that comment. Marino was the biggest baby in the league not only did he cry every time he didn't complete a pass BUT he would always blamed his teammates for it never himself. Ever hear Brady blame his teammates buddy? NEVER. He always says he could've executed better. That's a team player. And for Brady complaining to the refs as you say maybe if you were the best QB ever with the success he's had and everyone trying to take a cheap shot (see the saints) to knock him out (dirty Pollard already did) you would let the refs know about it too. Blows my mind how dumb some people are.

Looking over this list immediately reminds me why I don't care wtf Mike Florio says. This is a week to week ranking of the teams yet after what we've seen after 1 week you're just playing your favorites instead of doing an honest assessment of the teams. But to have the Eagles and the Giants ahead of the Redskins and Cowboys is just ridiculous. The two teams from the east with convincing wins against some big teams get the shaft to the other team that lost and another team that had a last minute score to pull off a 1 point win over the team you have rated dead last. Please have anybody besides Florio do this ranking system for now on PFT!

How are teams with a loss allowed inside the Top 10 Week 1? If we're going by a purely week-to-week power performance, shouldn't the Top 10 be winners, the Bottom 10 be all losers and the real "gray area" be the 12 spots in between?

How the Ravens, Jets and Falcons aren't Top 5 based on Week 1 performance is beyond me.

The Broncos looked weak on third down defense because they were up against Big Ben. There's simply no one better on 3rd and long than Ben. Lucky for them that Peyton can go drive for drive against most any QB. Against weaker QB's Denver's D will do much better on 3rd and long. They will be a force in the AFC and own the AFC West.

Nice job ranking the four NFC East teams in exact opposite order of their week 1 performances.

The Cowboys and Redskins were clearly the class of the division in week 1. The Cowboys won a road game against a division rival they normally lose to, and avoided all the normal ways they lose, and won convincingly.

And the Redskins outraced the still-very-potent Saints, also on the road, and their new QB looks fantastic.

But the losing Giants and turnover-prone, just-managed-to-squeak-past-the-Browns Eagles are ranked higher?

I didn't think this was a college poll, where teams are ranked high "just because" or "because we know they're better" or "because this is the storyline we're creating".

Nothing about the Giants' and Eagles' week 1 performances justifies their ranking.

This is ridiculous. A referee error causes a drop for the Rams?? We were 9 point underdogs and held Stafford to 1 TD and 0 to Megatron while losing on the road on a last minute drive to a top 5 offense. Meanwhile the Colts got shellacked in Chicago but are in the 20's? Bush league.

This is definitely a much different Patriots team than the one that lost the Super Bowl. Time will tell if they are a better team. The defense is faster and McDaniels, with Ridley now the full time running back, is running more of a balanced offense. It certainly wouldn't surprise me if Houston or Baltimore won the AFC. The Patriots need to take care of business and get the #1 seed. Without it, it will be very tough to get back to the SB.

I know a lot of people won't like this but it's true. Jets should be higher up than some of the teams. I know it was one week and they beat a Buffalo team that they should've but no one expected them to score the most points after week 1. Yes, the Jets scored 48 points and they beat the Bills in every aspect of the game. The Jets should be higher than:
1. Eagles bc they barley beat the Browns. Vick threw 4 INT's and won on a LAST MINUTE drive on a team they should've blown out.
2. Giants because they looked lost on D. Eli played a hell of a game but he needs Cruz not to drop the easy passes.
3. Packers, like it or not, they got manhandled at home. The score was closer then it should have been. There were 2 block in the backs on the punt return and for some reason it wasn't called.
4. Lions, Stafford throwing 3 INT's against the Rams secondary. Like the Eagles, they should've blown out the Rams, but won a last minute drive.
6. Saints, yes their coach and their interim coach are suspended but the players were allowed to play. They were at home and played against a rookie QB. All the motivation to win? I guess not.
