Hey, kid…welcome to the NFL! By the way, media will continue talking about fumbles until you, wait for it….stop fumbling!!! I’m conflicted…on the one hand, I want to yell- “There’s no crying in football!!!” On the other hand, it’s nice that the young man cares so deeply about doing a good job.

That’s the media for you, especially this big market. All you can do is continue to get used to it and if you want refer to the veterans and coaches for advice. And of course let your play do the talking, don’t give the media much detail, and try to be neutral.

Wilson this is the NFL not Va Tech. It was a nationally televised game and the cameras saw coach pull you out of the game, give you quite a dress down, and then you crying like a kid sent to his room.

TC will have him carrying a ball around like Tiki had to, and have the rest of the team swatting at it all week… he’ll learn to hold it properly, just like Tiki did, and he’ll go on to have a fine career, like Tiki did. I just hope he doesn’t retire early, bash the team, and leave his preggo wife for a 20 year old like Tiki did…

This should be pretty simple. You’re a rookie. Get the talking points from the coaches/pr; learn the script; and stick to it. Or shut up! Then let the performance over time either prove you right, or prove you wrong.

The worst thing to do is to get defensive and too wordy. It will spiral! Darin’s last comment is exactly right!
